In this quiz activity, authors can combine the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) with video content. The author uploads the video and can add multiple-choice questions at various points of the video to test learner’s understanding and engagement.

What are the benefits of MCQ video and when might I use it?

Educators can plot MCQs along a video timeline, providing contextually relevant assessment points.

How many MCQs can I author?

There is no limit to the number of questions you can add to your video. This authoring template allows you to ask questions within context, so the number of questions will depend on your content and where you feel they are most useful.

Can I decide how many marks this activity is worth?

Yes, you have two options. You can give the activity one mark in total. This means users must answer all questions correctly to achieve the mark. Alternatively, you can give users a mark for each question they answer correctly.

Can I ask multiple questions at the same time?

Yes, you can author multiple questions and if those questions share the same time stamp (e.g. 00:01:30) they will be combined into a single quiz at the desired time.

Things to be aware of:

• Timestamps are in the format of hours:minutes:seconds (00:00:00). If timestamps are not correctly formatted, the questions will not be displayed in your video.
